Fantastic! One of the best sessions this year.

Fairly consistent 5, occasionally gusting to nearly 6, occasional lulls but not many. Lardier brother-in-law Dan was using the Carve so I opted for the Veloce 288 as not quite feeling confident enough for the little Cross. Also went for the 6.5 as unsure whether the wind would hold. That turned out to be misplaced so I was overpowered quite often but it kept me going in the odd lull so I stayed with it. I'm a lazy waterstarter as well so the extra power comes in handy!

Was out for about 5 hours with a fine pub lunch at the Griffin midday to give me a break. Definitely the most TOW I've had all year; time to nearly crack a planing carve gybe (think i left the rig flip a fraction late) but got loads of not-falling-in gybes - Excellent!!
